My name is Ewa Zdanowicz. I was born in Poland about 30 years ago where I spent my childhood and later moved to Canada. My primary interests are oil painting and pencil/charcoal drawing, but I also enjoy quilting, working with clay as well as occasional sculpting.

Most of the works here were made in Japan between 1999 and 2005, in Canada between 1990 - 1999 and 2005 - 2009 and back in Japan where I currently live with my husband and son.

This is only a small part of my collection, but the site gets updated often with old works as well as the new ones. Please, feel free to browse around the gallery and let me know what you think. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Between November 1 and 23, an exhibition entitled "Aleksander's Dream Box", was held at Kamiishi Gallery in the city of Chichibu in Japan. The theme was a child's dreams. In this case it was my son, Aleksander, and the daily conversations that we have before he falls asleep that inspired me to create the series of paintings and sketches of colourful dreams.
